OVRDC Now Accepting FY 27 ARC Area Development Fund Pre-Applications

The Ohio Valley Regional Development Commission (OVRDC) is now accepting pre-applications for the Fiscal Year 2027 Area Development program. Application materials and program guidance are officially available on the OVRDC website as of today.

The Area Development program provides vital resources for projects that strengthen infrastructure, promote economic growth, and improve quality of life in Adams, Brown, Clermont, Gallia, Highland, Jackson, Lawrence, Pike, Ross, Scioto, and Vinton counties.

Pre-applications are due by close of business (COB) on May 22, 2026. Communities and eligible applicants are encouraged to review program materials early and begin coordinating with OVRDC staff to develop strong, competitive proposals.

Following the submission deadline, OVRDC staff will evaluate and score all eligible projects. Second-round caucus meetings will be held during June and July 2026 to further assess and prioritize projects. Final recommendations will then be presented to the OVRDC Project Review Committee for approval on August 27, 2026.

The Area Development program remains one of the most impactful tools we have to support community-led priorities across our region,” said Kerri Richardson, Development Director. “We encourage all eligible applicants to take advantage of this opportunity and engage with our staff throughout the process.

Eligible projects typically address needs in infrastructure, workforce development, business expansion, broadband access, and community development.
