How to request a Letter of Support from OVRDC

To ensure a fair, transparent, and mission-aligned process, the following guidelines must be followed when requesting a letter of support from OVRDC:

  1. Advance Notice
All requests must be submitted at least two (2) weeks prior to the letter’s required due date. Requests submitted after this deadline may not be considered.
  2. Alignment with Member Interests
OVRDC will issue letters of support only for projects that clearly benefit or align with the needs and priorities of our member counties and communities. If you are not a current OVRDC member, you must provide written evidence demonstrating that your project has the support of the OVRDC members it intends to serve (e.g., letters of endorsement from local officials, meeting minutes, etc.).
  3. Request Process
Requests should be submitted through the google form below and will include the following:

    • A brief summary of the project, including its goals, scope, area served and timeline
    • The name of the grant program and the due date for the support letter
    • Draft language or bullet points for the letter (optional but appreciated)
    • Documentation of member support, if required
  4. Review and Response
OVRDC will review all requests for alignment with our mission, regional priorities, and strategic goals. Submission of a request does not guarantee that a letter of support will be provided.
