OVRDC is Now Accepting FY 2017 ARC Grant Pre-Applications

The time to get your Appalachian Regional Commission pre-applications in to OVRDC is now! As some of you are aware, there is an increased allocation of funding through the State of Ohio for ARC projects beginning in FY’16, so now is an opportune time to submit your requests.

Projects must be located in one of the following counties: Adams, Brown, Clermont, Gallia, Highland, Jackson, Lawrence, Pike, Ross, Scioto or Vinton.

Eligible applicants include governmental entities and non-profit organizations. Maximum grant percentage varies by county, but is capped at $250,000.

For any project you have that might be “shovel ready,” please submit these pre-applications well before the April 22nd deadline, as it is always a possibility that FY’16 funds could still become available from either the state or federal ARC sources. The earlier you submit your project, the earlier we can consider it should funds become available. As always, OVRDC staff is ready to address any questions you have concerning the ARC program, project planning, down to the assembly of the pre-applications themselves—just give Jessica or Kim a call or an email.

Completed pre-applications must be submitted to Jessica Purdon, OVRDC Economic Development Specialist, on or before 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2016. Email delivery is the preferred method to jpurdon@ovrdc.org. Jessica may be reached at her email or via phone at (740) 947-2853.
