OVRDC Fall Full Commission Highlights Regional Leadership & Partnership
IRONTON, Ohio – The Ohio Valley Regional Development Commission (OVRDC) hosted its Fall Full Commission on Friday, September 25, 2026, at the Ro-Na Cultural Center in Ironton, Ohio. The meeting brought together local leaders, commissioners, and regional partners from across OVRDC’s 12-county service area.
A highlight of the meeting was the opportunity to recognize individuals, organizations, and projects making a meaningful impact across the region through OVRDC’s inaugural Regional Awards.
Regional Leadership Award
Presented to Sam Brady in recognition of his leadership and commitment to strengthening communities throughout the region.
Regional Partnership Excellence Award
Presented to the Governor’s Office of Appalachia for its continued partnership and collaboration in advancing opportunities throughout Ohio’s Appalachian communities.
Regional Impact Project Award
Presented to the Lawrence County Commissioners for the Macedonia Waterline Extension Project, recognizing the project’s impact on local infrastructure and the community it serves.
OVRDC was also pleased to welcome John Carey, Director of the Ohio Governor’s Office of Appalachia, as the meeting’s guest speaker. Director Carey shared insights on Ohio’s economic and community development efforts throughout Appalachia Ohio and the importance of continued collaboration between state and local partners.
The Fall Full Commission served as a reminder of the importance of regional collaboration and the work being accomplished through strong partnerships across southern Ohio.
OVRDC thanks Director Carey, commission members, award recipients, and all of the regional partners who joined us in Ironton for this year’s Fall Full Commission.
