Safe Routes to School Program (SRTS) funding application period opens January 4, 2022, and closes March 5, 2022.
The Safe Routes to School program provides resources, technical assistance and project funding to encourage and enable students in grades K-8 to walk or ride their bikes to school. A comprehensive approach to SRTS includes both infrastructure and non-infrastructure countermeasures and programs.
This program is funded at $4 million annually for projects in 5 categories: Engineering, Encouragement, Education, Enforcement and Evaluation.
