OVRDC Fall Full Commission Meeting and Awards Luncheon Held in Vinton County

The Ohio Valley Regional Development Commission hosted its Fall Full Commission Meeting and Member Recognition Luncheon on Friday, September 26, 2025, in Vinton County at the scenic Serenity Acres Homestead just outside of McArthur, Ohio.

OVRDC Chairman Barry Woodruff (Brown County), Vice Chair Mayor Luke Feeney (Ross County) and Executive Director Stephanie Gilbert welcomed 73 attendees, including commission members, local leaders, and dignitaries from across our 12-county region. Guest speakers included Jacquie Downard, co-owner of Serenity Acres, and Matt Abbott, President and CEO of OhioSE, who shared insights on economic opportunities and regional collaboration.

This year’s Outstanding Executive Committee Member Award was presented to OVRDC Vice Chair Luke Feeney, Mayor of Chillicothe, in recognition of his leadership and commitment to regional progress. The Outstanding Full Commission Member Award was presented to Darren LeBrun, Scioto County Engineer, for his exemplary public service and contributions to local infrastructure development.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our members, partners, and guests who dedicate their time, expertise, and passion to strengthening southern Ohio. Their commitment to public service and regional collaboration brings real change—improving infrastructure, supporting economic growth, and enhancing the quality of life for our communities. Together, we are not just moving the region forward—we are building a more resilient, connected, and prosperous future for all who call this region home.
