Image Overlay Map

Leaflet provides the capability to overlay an image on a map. This is done by setting the southeast and northwest bounds of the image. For this example the image was first georeferenced and rectified in ArcMap. The bounds were found simply using the info tool and clicking on each corner of the image. Maps and images could also be exported from ArcMap as GeoTiffs, imported into Mapbox Studio, exported as mbtiles, then run through the mbutil program to create map tiles to display the image or map as a tile layer.
