US Designated Bicycle Route System (USBRS)

The USBRS project is a collaborative effort, spearheaded by a task force under the auspices of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO). Members of the task force include officials and staff from state DOTs, the Federal Highway Administration, and nonprofits, including Adventure Cycling Association, the East Coast Greenway Alliance, and Mississippi River Trail, Inc. ~ Adventure Cycling Association

The goal of The United States Bicycle Route System is to connect America through a network of numbered interstate bicycle routes. Nationally close to 9,000 miles have already been established. The map below shows the USBRS as it stands in Ohio.

Comments are still being accepted for Ohio’s proposed routes. Contact OVRDC for more information.
