Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS)

OVRDC each year prepares a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) for the Economic Development Administration (EDA).  The CEDS is a plan that emerges from a broad-based continuous planning process addressing the economic opportunities and constraints of the region. The CEDS process is designed to guide the economic growth of the area through an inclusive and dynamic process that coordinates the efforts of community organizations, local governments, and private industry concerned with economic development.

OVRDC’s CEDS document is concise and easily accessible.  The general public, government decision makers, and business investors are able to use it as a guide for understanding the regional economy and for taking action to improve it. The CEDS takes into account, and where appropriate, incorporates, other planning efforts in the communities of the OVRDC region.
