major purpose of this study and planning effort was to maximize the economic
development potential of the SR32/US50 and US35 corridor to create new jobs in
southern and southeastern Ohio. This
goal was addressed through doing a comprehensive study of the corridor that will
ascertain current demand on the corridor by existing major employers and other
major trip generators and potential future generators, such as existing
industrial parks and commercial sites.
The study also shows an inventory and maps existing water and sewer
infrastructure that is available along the corridor.
In addition, the corridor plan will designate the best possible future
industrial and commercial development sites in terms of access and available
infrastructure, as well as designate environmentally sensitive areas.
